ABOUT US
VISION
Coast To Coast Dance Convention & Competition aims to inspire and educate dancers of all ages and levels through high-energy classes, expert instruction, and performance opportunities. The convention brings together top instructors and performers to help dancers grow technically and artistically, build confidence, and experience a supportive, creative dance community from “Coast to
Coast.” The event emphasizes inspiration, artistry, unforgettable classes, and competitive performances that encourage passion and progress in dance. Each instructor uses their platform to challenge, encourage and lead each dancer to a higher place of purpose and excellence.
DIRECTORS
Derek Capps "Disney’s The Lion King" and Cami Capps (Co-Director of Coast to Coast Dance, Palisades Studio LA, and Founder of GAFA Wilmington, NC) have been performing and teaching dance for over 20 years. They have worked internationally in Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, Israel, and across the United States from Coast to Coast. Proud North Carolina natives and ECU Dance alumni, Derek and Cami spent 11 years performing & teaching in Los Angeles before relocating to Wilmington, NC after the Palisades fires impacted their home and Palisades Dance Studio. Through it all, they believe God is doing something new, and are thrilled to bring their West Coast experience back to the East Coast—uniting dancers from Coast to Coast!
